I realise I just described BBs and Cruisers. Second reason is that I still play WoT mainly which means I have less time to grind in WoWS hence the priority list.įellow dinger I see In WoT I like meds and heavies the most if that tells you anything but I really do not mind any tank/ship type (maybe not dds, I love them but I die fast so not a good idea.maybe later when I have more experience), I do like versatile tanks/ships and I dont mind high alpha either but those two usually doesnt go hand in hand. That is why I asked for an overall pros/cons list for all the lines from the experienced palyers. The other thing to note is that I will do the same as in WoT, which is pretty much grind everything except if a line is very bad, thus I need to create a priority list of sorts, like if a CV line for a nation is better (for me) then an other ill set my priority on those line. Maybe I like BBs the most at the moment but I do believe BBs are the most noobfriendly class out of all of them, good armor big damage, kinda hard to not do at least avg with them in my opinion. So if you are not patient it is not for you.Ĭarriers - if you enjoy RTS games (starcraft, command and conquer, etc) you will quite enjoy them because the interface and your role as a captain is similar to this kind of games.ĭestroyers probably arent meant for me just like Light Tanks arent really my thing in WoT but I quite like all the rest of the classes. Their speed and turning is also fine.īattleships - slow, very powerfull battery but their reload is 30 sec. They are fast and can change direction very fast.Ĭruisers are allround good - they have good rate of fire and quite good HP. My advice for a newbie - find your class of ships first.ĭestroyers are sneaky and can give you a lot of adrenaline (while in close combat). In general, all nations/classes have good/bad points hence why you need to get a good idea of what your long term gamestyle will be.Īs you are a newbie, play everything up to say t3-t4 as then the playstyles become more obvious.Īnd if you want to natter over TS, there is the WoWs channel 92.223.3.90:9989Īlso a good place to get a division mate.Īs many players are here on forum I think you will get different opinions. I only play these lines as I do not have enough time to grind and am a "wallet" warrior to get things moving.Īnd most are eagerly awaiting the RN light cruiser lines coming Oct/Nov (We hope). However, you can get citadeled very easily by BBs and other CAs and need to be very situationally aware to survive. IJN - Get the bigger guns from t5, all carry decent torp loadouts. USN - Again good RoF and high arcs but no torps from t6. German - just started the grind but apparent good armour, hig RoF (lower penetration) and looks like good secondaries and most have short range torpsĬA a real mixed bag as the lines are mixed between light and heavy cruisers which should be splitting in future soon.(WG meaning of soon) Heavy armour, good AA and reasonbly punchy guns but dispersion can troll you with adverse RNG IJN - tend to have longer range guns slightly worst armour but do have speed To be really effective no matter the nation to be most effective for your guns and armour you need to be 15km or under, DO NOT be kemping BB at edge of map even if your guns have the range. Me I have IJN/USN up to T8 and are currently my most played classīBs (the HT equivalent). Good concealment and powerful/quick longer range torps not great guns USN again good RoF but very high shell arcs (getting used to leading targets takes time) reasonable torps, reasonably stealthy. Gunboats - high RoF Russkies good pen, flat arcs (quicker travel time to target) and tend to have very short range torps (under 5km but do pack a big punch if you can get close enough) and relatively poor concealment. I am only up to T8 so these are my general thoughts on the nations I have played and others will chip in and agree/disagree.ĭDs essentially 2 types but all fragile and usually very speedy Also how much time and cash do you want to invest in WoWs?Īlso it is not so much by nation but also whether CV/BB/CA/DD. So using WoT as a reference, brawler vs sniper, mobile vs slow, alpha vs RoF. We would need to to understand what type of gameplay you like. Hi Pudlee - see you have to get your feet wet rather than roll around in the WoT dirt
